Grand Prix in Dunkerque
Immediately after I came back from Mexico I went to my osteopath Benni Kohl so that he can unblock my lumbar vertebra.
After a painful hour my back was fine again. (Thanks a lot Benni! Next time I’ll take you with me!)
One week later I drove to Freiburg to train with the Baden-Wurttemberg triathlon squad around Lubos Bilek, together with my teammates Svenja Bazlen and Katrin Müller. I really enjoyed to ride up and down the mountains of the black forest.
Saturday morning the alarm clock was ringing at five and Svenja and I started our road trip to Dunkerque. It was exactly 700k from Freiburg across four countries. But our car was not only packed with our race stuff but also with a big basket full of food. So the trip was more a gourmet-snack-trip. But well, we need to get energy for the race.
In Dunkerque was the second Grand prix where we raced for our both team of Chareauroux. After a good swim performance I was straight away in the leading pack. But on the run I could feel the hard training week and dropped off. I finished 13th, with the team we came 4th.
Now we are back on the road after a short break in a fast food restaurant with a yellow label. After a hard race, French fries a quite tasty…
